Penn chemists develop motion capture-like technology for tracking protein shape
EurekAlert (press release)
Chris Dobson, a professor of chemistry at Cambridge University, shared nuclear magnetic resonance data about alpha-synuclein that provided further confirmation of the accuracy of the computer models. The paper represents one of the largest libraries of ...

Abstract
We describe a new algorithmic approach able to automatically pick and track the NMR resonances of a large number of 2D NMR spectra acquired during a stepwise variation of a physical parameter. The method has been named Trace in Track (TINT), referring to the...

Automation of peak-tracking analysis of stepwise perturbed NMR spectra
Abstract
We describe a new algorithmic approach able to automatically pick and track the NMR resonances of a large number of 2D NMR spectra acquired during a stepwise variation of a physical parameter. The method has been named Trace in Track (TinT), referring to the idea that a gaussian decomposition traces peaks within the tracks recognised through 3D mathematical morphology. It is capable of determining the evolution of the chemical shifts, intensity and linewidths of each...

New NMR cancer model: Tracking progress
New NMR cancer model: Tracking progress
http://www.spectroscopynow.com/common/images/thumbnails/141a639aeec.jpgA new modelling technique for real-time tracking of metabolic reactions in tumours has been developed by UK researchers. The system based on a simplified computer model of nuclear magnetic resonance spectra could allow oncologists to assess how well their prescribed treatment, whether chemotherapy, radiotherapy or an immunological treatment is progressing without surgical intervention nor the need for regular biopsies.
