Abstract
Phospholamban (PLB) is a 52 amino acid integral membrane protein that interacts with the sarcoplasmic reticulum Ca(2+) ATPase (SERCA) and helps to regulate Ca(2+) flow. PLB inhibits SERCA impairing Ca(2+) translocation. The...

31P-NMR was used to monitor myocardial bioenergetics in compensated and failing SHHF/MCC-fa(cp) (SHF) rat hearts. The SHHF/Mcc-fa(cp) (spontaneous hypertension and heart failure) rat is a relatively new genetic model in which...

NMR for Nontargeted Screening of Melamine in Baby Foods
NMR for Nontargeted Screening of Melamine in Baby Foods
The recent melamine crisis in China has pointed out a serious deficiency in current food control systems, namely, they specifically focus on selected known compounds. This targeted approach allowed the presence of melamine in milk products to be overlooked for a considerable time. To avoid this in the future, nontargeted NMR screening is proposed.
