PhD students and postdocs positions
PhD students and postdocs positions PhD students and postdocs positions on new applications of NMR in environmental sciences Short description of projects: Project1: Use high-resolution NMR to measure intramolecular variation of the heavy hydrogen isotope deuterium in historical plant samples, to link past climate with physiological changes, and to define plant-climate interactions relevant for future plant productivity. Project2: Apply quantitative 13C NMR to primary metabolites and to tree rings, to establish links between intramolecular 13C variation and partitioning of metabolites...

Challenges in numerical simulations of solid-state NMR experiments: Spin exchange pulse sequences.
Challenges in numerical simulations of solid-state NMR experiments: Spin exchange pulse sequences. Challenges in numerical simulations of solid-state NMR experiments: Spin exchange pulse sequences. Solid State Nucl Magn Reson. 2011 Feb 1; Authors: Vosegaard T While simulations are essential for interpretation of solid-state NMR experiments, large spin systems involved in e.g. spin-diffusion experiments and/or dynamic effects like chemical exchange pose great challenges for the numerical simulations, where we typically want to include effects of...

[U. of Ottawa NMR Facility Blog] Free and Inexpensive NMR Processing Software for Students
Free and Inexpensive NMR Processing Software for Students Processing NMR data has just become more affordable for students. Our friends at Advanced Chemistry Development have recently decided to make their NMR processing software free of charge to academics. As a student, you can put this software on your personal laptop or PC and process your NMR data at home or anywhere your travels take you. You can register and download the software here. They have even started a BLOG dealing with use of the software. I think I speak for all students when I say "Thanks guys!!" Also, our friends at...
