Detection of Lung Cancer via Blood Plasma and (1)H-NMR Metabolomics: Validation by a Semi-Targeted and Quantitative Approach Using a Protein-Binding Competitor
Metabolite profiling of blood plasma, by proton nuclear magnetic resonance (¹H-NMR) spectroscopy, offers great potential for early cancer diagnosis and unraveling disruptions in cancer metabolism. Despite the essential attempts to standardize pre-analytical and external conditions, such as pH or temperature, the donor-intrinsic plasma protein concentration is highly overlooked. However, this is of utmost importance, since several...

[Question from NMRWiki Q&A forum] Avance III 400 NMR lift unresponsive... emergency air lift activiated
Avance III 400 NMR lift unresponsive... emergency air lift activiated
Hi, I am unable to activate our lift on our avance III 400 NMR from BruKer The message is emergency air lift activated. Both the inject and eject commands give this error. And I am unable to hear of air flow through the lift or any other mechanism when a lift is attempted. We could still lock on and shim to the chloroform peak. I've gone through a couple of trouble shooting pathways but so far I'm unsuccessful and getting our lift to work and shutting off the emergency air flow.
Does any one have any suggestions? ...

2H-NMR is beginning to provide some insights into the way in which the hydrophobic surfactant proteins SP-B and SP-C interact with phospholipid bilayers in multilamellar structures. Both proteins have a significant effect on slow bilayer motions. In many ways, the effect of SP-C on the surrounding...
