Determination of glucose exchange rates and permeability of erythrocyte membrane in preeclampsia and subsequent oxidative stress-related protein damage using dynamic- 19 F-NMR
Determination of glucose exchange rates and permeability of erythrocyte membrane in preeclampsia and subsequent oxidative stress-related protein damage using dynamic- 19 F-NMR Abstract The cause of the pregnancy condition preeclampsia (PE) is thought to be endothelial dysfunction caused by oxidative stress. As abnormal glucose tolerance has also been associated with PE, we use a fluorinated-mimic of this metabolite to establish whether any oxidative damage to lipids and proteins in the erythrocyte membrane has increased cell membrane permeability....

Biomed Res Int. 2013;2013:329058 Authors: Jana SK, Dutta M, Joshi M, Srivastava S, Chakravarty B, Chaudhury K Abstract Accumulating evidence indicates the active role of oxidative stress in the development of endometriosis; however, the mechanism of reactive oxygen species...

[Question from NMRWiki Q&A forum] S/N increases then decreases in 2D HMBC-type experiment
S/N increases then decreases in 2D HMBC-type experiment Hello All Does anyone have any ideas on why the S/N would increase and then degrade during an HMBC-style experiment? If I process as I acquire, the S/N is best at about 3/4 through the experiment. At the end, the signals are still visible but the S/N has decreased. Both the instrument and the pulse sequence/pulse program appear to be working correctly (tested with other samples). Thank-you in advance.
