Default Answered: What does the he E in 1.03E + 3 Hz mean?
It's a 1H NMR absorption of 1.03 + 3Hz on a spectrometer operating at 200 MHz. So, if it was just like 300Hz I'd just divide that by 200 MHz. I just have no idea what the E is.omg lol thanks. Went way off on the wrong track there looking for a constant or something.

this is supposed to represent scientific notation.it means 1.03 x 10^3 Hz or 1030 Hz.

this is supposed to represent scientific notation.it means 1.03 x 10^3 Hz or 1030 Hz.

it's for 10^, so in this case, it would be 1.03 * 10^3.most calculators and electronic equipment use this notation.
