[KPWU blog] [PyMOL] assign secondary structural regions
assign secondary structural regions   Sometimes I displayed the cartoon view of a protein in PyMOL as the figures shown below that I don’t really see the helix and strands. It often happens when I merged 10 or 20 structures into a NMR ensemble file. All 20 structures are aligned but the secondary structural regions are not clearly displayed http://stats.wordpress.com/b.gif?host=kpwu.wordpress.com&blog=76132&post=559&subd=kpwu&ref=&feed=1 Go to KPWU blog to read complete post.

ncIDP-assign: A SPARKY extension for the effective NMR assignment of intrinsically disordered proteins. ncIDP-assign: A SPARKY extension for the effective NMR assignment of intrinsically disordered proteins. Bioinformatics. 2011 Mar 3; Authors: Tamiola K, Mulder FA SUMMARY: We describe here the ncIDP-assign extension for the popular NMR assignment programme SPARKY, which aids in the sequence-specific resonance assignment of intrinsically disordered proteins (IDPs). The assignment plugin greatly facilitates the effective matching of a set of...

[Question from NMRWiki Q&A forum] NMR experiments to assign aromatic sidechains?
NMR experiments to assign aromatic sidechains? Hello, may I ask this - NMR experiments/pulse sequences are available to assign aromatic sidechains - Phe, Tyr, Trp? We'd like to try 2D and 3D. What's available in the vendor-specific libraries? Thank you very much.

Heteronuclear 3D NMR and isotopic labeling of calmodulin. Towards the complete assignment of the 1H NMR spectrum. Related Articles Heteronuclear 3D NMR and isotopic labeling of calmodulin. Towards the complete assignment of the 1H NMR spectrum. Biochem Pharmacol. 1990 Jul 1;40(1):153-60 Authors: Ikura M, Marion D, Kay LE, Shih H, Krinks M, Klee CB, Bax A New methods are described that permit detailed analysis of the NMR spectra of calmodulin, an alpha-helical protein with a molecular weight of 16.7 kD. Two complementary approaches have been...
