Introductory NMR & MRI: Video 05: Field Homogeneity

Paul Callaghan gives an introduction to NMR and MRI. Magnetic field homogeneity is important in NMR and MRI. In this 5th video of the series, Paul reviews the effects on the NMR signal of field inhomogeneity on both the Free Induction Decay and the spectrum, and how shimming can be used to improve field homogeneity and provide a narrow linewidth.
