Basically I'm looking to perform NMR experiments with frequencies in the 500KHZ region. I already have an arbitrary function generator that I can program with the required pulses at that frequency, now I need to amplifier the signal, and deliver the current to a coil.
How do build an amplifier that can drive a lot of current into a coil at that frequency? Do I resonate the coil with a capacitor, and if so, how do I ensure the resulting circuit won't ring, and ruin the pulse sequences?
Thanks!

[Question from NMRWiki Q&A forum] calculating power level with stdisp
calculating power level with stdisp
For some reason the shape tool has some sort of glitch that I can't calculate a power level for a wurst 10 ms pulse 180 rotation for a a 522 max gamma ~ for over 3000 Hz, with an option "Analyze adiabatic shape".
It insists it is not an adiabatic shape.
So I tried opening the same file shape tool in XWIN-NMR shape tool and the same problem occured but this time it gave me the Hz covered in maximum gamma when I included the degrees of rotation as well as the time for the pulse. it covers a 3ppm bandwidth etc.
I think I've done this many years...

ps. I'm aware that for hard pulse it is 1/pw360, therefore can I assume that in this case it is 1/2*P25?

[Question from NMRWiki Q&A forum] Why RF irradiation will damage amplifier?
Why RF irradiation will damage amplifier?
Here our 1H amplifier of NMR spectrometer is damaged twice for long time or high power RF irradiation. Why the duty cycle is important for amplifier or probe? If the damage happens to amplifier, which part of it is broken?
edit: The type of our spectrometer is Varian InfinityPlus for solids bought in 2003. I have no idea about the sort of amplifiers, just know the amplifier is for power output. Someone used about 80kHz 1H power for 1H decoupling during 100-200ms acquisition. The efficiency of the amplifier output droped gradually. The efficiency...

the uninterruptible power supply
Hi Guys,
I am a new guy for NMR management. We just installed Bruker Avance 300. Does anyone have the information of uninterruptible power supply for this NMR? What are the requirements (vol, Amp and power)? It will be appreciated if you can send me the information of the manufacturer and the catalog number.
Thanks in advance.
