Default A temperature-controlled sample shuttle for field-cycling NMR

From The DNP-NMR Blog:

A temperature-controlled sample shuttle for field-cycling NMR

Today, something that has nothing to do with DNP-NMR spectroscopy, but is a cool piece of equipment.

<div style="text-align: justify;">We present a design for a temperature-controlled sample shuttle for use in NMR measurements at variable magnetic field strength. Accurate temperature control was achieved using a mixture of waterethylene glycol as a heat transfer fluid, reducing temperature gradients across the sample to

9th Field-Cycling NMR conference, Aberdeen, 27-30 July 2015
From The DNP-NMR Blog: 9th Field-Cycling NMR conference, Aberdeen, 27-30 July 2015 From the Ampere Magnetic Resonance List The 9th Conference on Fast Field-Cycling NMR Relaxometry will be held at the University of Aberdeen, Scotland, from Monday 27th to Thursday 30th July, 2015. This is the biennial Field-Cycling NMR conference, previously held in Berlin (1998) and then every two years in Torino until 2013. So it is the first move for the conference since 2001!

J Am Chem Soc. 2004 Oct 27;126(42):13765-77 Authors: Roberts MF, Redfield AG We have used high-resolution field-cycling 31P NMR spectroscopy to measure spin-lattice relaxation rates (R1 = 1/T1) of multicomponent phospholipid vesicle and micelle samples over a large field range, from 0.1 to 11.7 T. The shape of the curve for R1 as a function of field and a model-free analysis were...
