Gyrotrons are extremely high power radiation sources even in THz frequency region comparing conventional radiation sources. We have developed gyrotron FU CW series for application to many high power THz technologies. Up to the present, nine CW gyrotrons were developed. Each gyrotron has its own objective and was optimized for respective application subject. Now, the applications are extended to wide fields including DNP-NMR measurement, ESR echo experiment, direct and precise measurement on hyperfine structure of positronium, experiment on effective operation of Bloch oscillator using semiconductor super lattice, etc. In this paper, we will introduce such high power THz technologies opened by high power THz radiation sources. TSAR: a program for automatic resonance assignment using 2D cross-sections of high dimensionality, high-resolution spectra
TSAR: a program for automatic resonance assignment using 2D cross-sections of high dimensionality, high-resolution spectra
Abstract While NMR studies of proteins typically aim at structure, dynamics or interactions, resonance assignments represent in almost all cases the initial step of the analysis. With increasing complexity of the NMR spectra, for example due to decreasing extent of ordered structure, this task often becomes both difficult and time-consuming, and the recording of high-dimensional data with high-resolution may be essential. Random sampling of the evolution time space,...

High dimensional and high resolution pulse sequences for backbone resonance assignment of intrinsically disordered proteins
High dimensional and high resolution pulse sequences for backbone resonance assignment of intrinsically disordered proteins
Abstract Four novel 5D (HACA(N)CONH, HNCOCACB, (HACA)CON(CA)CONH, (H)NCO(NCA)CONH), and one 6D ((H)NCO(N)CACONH) NMR pulse sequences are proposed. The new experiments employ non-uniform sampling that enables achieving high resolution in indirectly detected dimensions. The experiments facilitate resonance assignment of intrinsically disordered proteins. The novel pulse sequences were successfully tested using δ subunit (20 kDa) of Bacillus subtilis RNA polymerase...

Chemical shift correlation at high MAS frequencies employing low-power symmetry-based mixing schemes
Chemical shift correlation at high MAS frequencies employing low-power symmetry-based mixing schemes
Abstract An approach for conveniently implementing low-power CN n ν and RN n ν symmetry-based band-selective mixing sequences for generating homo- and heteronuclear chemical shift correlation NMR spectra of low γ nuclei in biological solids is demonstrated. Efficient magnetisation transfer characteristics are achieved by selecting appropriate symmetries requiring the application of basic RF elements of relatively long duration and numerically tailoring the RF field modulation profile...

High resolution NMR spectroscopy of nanocrystalline proteins at ultra-high magnetic field
High resolution NMR spectroscopy of nanocrystalline proteins at ultra-high magnetic field
Abstract Magic-angle spinning (MAS) solid-state NMR (SSNMR) spectroscopy of uniformly-13C,15N labeled protein samples provides insight into atomic-resolution chemistry and structure. Data collection efficiency has advanced remarkably in the last decade; however, the study of larger proteins is still challenged by relatively low resolution in comparison to solution NMR. In this study, we present a systematic analysis of SSNMR protein spectra acquired at 11.7, 17.6 and 21.1 Tesla (1H frequencies of...
