Default Development of the Multifrequency Gyrotron FU CW GV with Gaussian Beam Output

From The DNP-NMR Blog:

Development of the Multifrequency Gyrotron FU CW GV with Gaussian Beam Output

Tatematsu, Y., et al., Development of the Multifrequency Gyrotron FU CW GV with Gaussian Beam Output. J Infrared Milli Terahz Waves, 2015: p. 1-12.

http://dx.doi.org/10.1007/s10762-015-0173-5

Gyrotron FU CW GV has been developed as a multifrequency gyrotron for operation over the frequency range from 162 to 265 GHz at frequencies separated by steps of approximately 10 GHz. The oscillation modes were selected; the radii of the caustic surfaces for the electromagnetic waves of the modes had similar values in the waveguide, and it was therefore expected that these modes would be converted into Gaussian beams by a mode converter. In reality, more than ten modes oscillated and the Gaussian-like beams were radiated. A double-disk window with variable spacing maintains the transmittance through the window at a high level over a wide range of frequencies. Using this window, output powers of more than 1 kW were observed for almost all the expected modes.

[NMR900 blog] EFGShield, ver. 4.0 - new version with GUI now available for Gaussian, CASTEP, and ADF files
EFGShield, ver. 4.0 - new version with GUI now available for Gaussian, CASTEP, and ADF files Dear colleague, “EFGShield” is our software for the parsing and analysis of shielding and EFG data from Gaussian output files. Thanks to the work of my students Nuiok Dicaire and Fred Perras, I am pleased to announce that a new and improved version of EFGShield with a GUI is now available. There are many advantages to the new version which are summarized in the attached pdf. Most importantly, CASTEP and ADF output files can now be used in addition to Gaussian files. Instructions are also...

[Question from NMRWiki Q&A forum] g03defaults in gaussian 09
g03defaults in gaussian 09 Hi, I am using gaussian 09 to simulate proton NMR and I am comparing my results with the ones published here: Atieh, Z., Allouche, A. R., Graveron-Demilly, D., & Aubert-Frécon, M. (2011). Density functional theory (DFT) calculations of the proton nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spin-Hamiltonian parameters for serine. Measurement Science and Technology. doi:10.1088/0957-0233/22/11/114015 Unfortunately, I am obtaining a deviation for the solvent simulation which can be explain by the recent changes in PCM models of Gaussian 09 (see here). I have came...
