The research groups of Professors Alex Pines, Carlos Meriles, and Jeff Reimer have funding for postdoctoral positions at UC Berkeley, in close collaboration with the City University of New York (CCNY). We are interested in nuclear hyperpolarization via optical excitation in solids and MOFs with applications ranging from ranging from fundamental many-body physics and quantum sensing to geochemistry and to biomedicine. Most of the work would be done within the Pines and Reimer labs at UC Berkeley, with some extended stays at the City University of New York. Compensation is consistent with the union contract at UC Berkeley. The ideal candidate is able to design, develop, and deploy new instrumentation; imagine models for spin physics; and exhibit chemical intuition. Please send a cv to reimer@berkeley.edu
