Default [NMR] Post-doctoral position in CEA/Saclay

From The DNP-NMR Blog:

[NMR] Post-doctoral position in CEA/Saclay

CEA, CNRS, Paris-Saclay University, France

A Postdoctoral research position is available from April 2020 to develop liquid-state NMR methods and instrumentation for sensitive real-time detection of synthesis intermediates. The efficient, rapid and quantitative detection of reaction intermediates by NMR requires that the detection zone be as close as possible to the synthesis reactor. This implies new developments in instrumentation and NMR methods.

The postdoctoral position is funded through an ANR project grant for a period of 12 months. Experience in two of the following areas is desirable: NMR methodology, NMR instrumentation, chemical engineering, 3D-printing. A benchtop NMR spectrometer (43 MHz), two 500 MHz narrow-bore spectrometers and a 300 MHz superwide-bore spectrometer/imager are available in the laboratory for this project. Also, the candidate will have access to the French high-field NMR facility (IR-RMN-THC).

CEA is a major French player in research, development and innovation. The Paris-Saclay cluster, situated 25 km in the south-west of Paris, is a concentration of large groups and innovative SMEs associated with a world-class university center. Being one of the 8 most important innovation centers in the world, Paris-Saclay already accounts for 15% of French public and private research.

Candidates who are interested in participating to this project common to the company CortecNet and the CEA (LSDRM) are encouraged to apply by sending their CV and letters of recommendation to Dr. Patrick Berthault, NIMBE, UMR CEA/CNRS 3685, CEA Saclay, PC #9, F-91191 Gif sur Yvette, France patrick.berthault@cea.fr.

More details on the developments at the origin of this project can be found in these refs:

three-years post-doctoral position A three-years post-doctoral position is opened in the group of biomolecular NMR of the IGBMC institute in Illkirch (near Strasbourg), France. The research project is related to the field of the chromatin remodelling processes. In particular, we are interested to decipher the molecular mechanisms underlying the interaction between specific transcription factors, such as the deubiquitination module of the SAGA complex, and the nucleosome. The work will be conducted within a highly multidisciplinary environment involving several teams of the institute...
