[Question from NMRWiki Q&A forum] Finding concentration from NMR spectrum
Finding concentration from NMR spectrum
I dissolve Aspartate in a buffer containing 2mM TSP. I have a NMR spectrum of the mixture and I need to find the concentration for the Aspartate.
The 1D spectrum shows 7 peaks at (ppm):0.00 (0.505), 0.60 (0.106), 1.75 (0.124), 2.62 (1.012), 2.80 (1.000), 3.65 (0.034), 3.80 (1.000)
What is the best way to find the concentration?

Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) spectroscopy has long been a favourite tool of chemists interested in host-guest systems because it permits access to a wealth of information about the molecular recognition reaction. NMR has evolved dramatically in the last 15 years and, in parallel with the development of NMR methods for the determination of protein...
