Abstract
The number of molecules constituting 1D intermolecular aggregates of the ?-stacked self-assembled complex was controlled by altering the concentration and temperature. Enhanced magnetic orientation was observed for the aggregates with larger aggregation numbers. It was demonstrated that the designable complex aggregates serve as magnetic aligners to induce magnetic alignment upon an analyte protein coexisting in the solution, resulting in the observation of residual dipolar coupling (RDC) of the analyte.

A topic of active investigation in 2D NMR relates to the minimum number of scans required for acquiring this kind of spectra, particularly when these are dictated by sampling rather than by sensitivity considerations. Reductions in this minimum number of scans have...

[Question from NMRWiki Q&A forum] NutsPro software to extract a plot from a stacked plot file
NutsPro software to extract a plot from a stacked plot file
Hello,
I was using VnmrJ to collect an array of 6 NMR spectra. I used VnmrJ to save all 6 spectra in 1 fid file by using the svf('filename') command. When opening the fid file in NutsPro to analyze the data, I am able to see all 6 spectra in Stacked Plots mode. They show up as Fid spectra, stacked on top of each other. However I am only able to individually display the first plot and only able to take the Fourier Transform of that first plot in the series. I am unable to select any other plot in that array. Is there a way in...

A new concept of protein dynamics has emerged quite recently, and a crucial link between protein dynamics and function has been largely established using recent NMR techniques in the solution state. Protein structure is governed by the thermodynamic principle and may not necessarily be unique in the...

Tunable paramagnetic relaxation enhancements by [Gd(DPA)3]3â?? for protein structure
Abstract Paramagnetic relaxation enhancements (PRE) present a powerful source of structural information in nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) studies of proteins and proteinâ??ligand complexes. In contrast to conventional PRE reagents that are covalently attached to the protein, the complex between gadolinium and three dipicolinic acid (DPA) molecules, 3â??, can bind to proteins in a non-covalent yet site-specific manner. This offers straightforward access to PREs that can be scaled by using different ratios of 3â?? to protein, allowing quantitative distance measurements for nuclear spins...
