Sequence correction of random coil chemical shifts: correlation between neighbor correction factors and changes in the Ramachandran distribution
Sequence correction of random coil chemical shifts: correlation between neighbor correction factors and changes in the Ramachandran distribution Abstract Random coil chemical shifts are necessary for secondary chemical shift analysis, which is the main NMR method for identification of secondary structure in proteins. One of the largest challenges in the determination of random coil chemical shifts is accounting for the effect of neighboring residues. The contributions from the neighboring residues are typically removed by using neighbor correction factors determined based on each...

Relating side-chain mobility in proteins to rotameric transitions: insights from molecular dynamics simulations and NMR. Related Articles Relating side-chain mobility in proteins to rotameric transitions: insights from molecular dynamics simulations and NMR. J Biomol NMR. 2005 Jun;32(2):151-62 Authors: Hu H, Hermans J, Lee AL The dynamic aspect of proteins is fundamental to understanding protein stability and function. One of the goals of NMR studies of side-chain dynamics in proteins is to relate spin relaxation rates to discrete...

[NMR paper] Factors determining the reliable description of global tumbling parameters in solutio
Factors determining the reliable description of global tumbling parameters in solution NMR. Related Articles Factors determining the reliable description of global tumbling parameters in solution NMR. J Biomol NMR. 2002 Nov;24(3):215-29 Authors: Pawley NH, Gans JD, Nicholson LK An accurate description of global tumbling of a protein is essential for correct analysis and interpretation of internal dynamics and thermodynamics. The accurate fitting of global tumbling parameters is affected by the number of experimental relaxation data points...

[Question from NMRWiki Q&A forum] Relating 13C and 1H chemical shifts for representation of 2D CSPs
Relating 13C and 1H chemical shifts for representation of 2D CSPs Hi, our lab uses the following relationship for the calculation of normalized CSPs from 1H-15N HSQC spectra: CSPnorm = ((0.154*Nshift)^2) + Hshift^2)^0.5 Can anyone provide the equivalent multiplier for 13C/1H normalized CSP calculations? I've been looking on the BMRB site but haven't had any success so far. Cheers.
