We present the first deuteron quadrupole coupling constants (DQCC) for selected protic ionic liquids (PILs) measured by solid-state NMR spectroscopy. The experimental data are supported by dispersion-corrected density functional theory (DFT-D3) calculations and molecular dynamics (MD) simulations.
