Immunology Department for a Staff Scientist - Protein Biochemist (Job Number 15890).
The
Staff Scientist - Protein Biochemist will have a strong biochemistry background. Our research focuses in various aspects of T cell function. Specifically we are interested in three major areas: regulation of T cell receptor (TCR):CD3 complex and role of CD3 in T cell development and function; identification of novel Treg molecules and mechanism of Treg function; and pathogenic T cells in type I diabetes. The Staff Scientist utilizes unique, advanced skills in achieving the highest research goals, develops new experimental procedures and publishes research results, initiates and conducts independent experiments without direct supervision, assists with the management of laboratory operations
Requirements:
* A Ph.D. in an appropriate scientific field plus a minimum 5 years of relevant and productive postdoctoral research associate experience is required.
* Experience in protein production and purification from eukaryotic systems, and protein identification is preferred.
* Background in cell signaling is also desired.
