Crystax Pharmaceuticals is a leading structure-based drug discovery company located at the Barcelona Science Park. Crystax has developed an integrated discovery platform, from the identification of target gene sequences to the synthesis of lead drug candidates. Crystax is able to determine target-ligand interactions by X-ray crystallography, NMR and other biophysical techniques. This information is then used to develop and verify novel ligand structures by a combination of low-molecular-weight fragment screening, molecular modelling and synthetic chemistry.

At Crystax, we have an open position for a post-doc with strong background and experience on the use of biophysical techniques such as NMR, SPR, microcalorimetry and fluorescence spectroscopy. The candidate will join the biophysics unit and will participate on the process of screening and design new drug candidates.

Applicants must have experience on the use of biophysical techniques for the characterization of binding events, with special emphasis on small molecule – protein interactions. Previous experience on fragment screening will be an added value.

At Crystax, we're dedicated to providing top professionals with the opportunity to collaborate in an environment of scientific excellence. We take pride in fostering the personal and professional growth of our employees in an intense and inspiring research environment marked by mutual respect and teamwork. As a start-up company, Crystax demands individuals with a strong work ethic, who can work independently to contribute to the goals, and respond to the needs, of their assigned team.

We expect from applicants:

•A CV indicating their:
-Past and present job experience indicating position, a very brief job description and achievements
-Past (and present, if applicable) academic career
-Other major achievements, language skills, computer skills

•A Cover Letter providing:
-Some explanations why the applicant considers working at Crystax, what professional and personal qualities of the applicant distinguish him or her and should be of special consideration when choosing the best applicant for the job
-An indication of the remuneration that the applicant desires
-An statement of when the applicant will be available.

We look forward to receiving your application at recruiting@crystax.com
