Default Experimental Officer in Nuclear Magnetic Resonance

Experimental Officer in Nuclear Magnetic Resonance

Experimental Officer in Nuclear Magnetic Resonance University of York - Department of Chemistry Ref: 2497 You will be responsible for the day-to-day operation primarily of the 700 MHz and 600 MHz instruments which are used for a wide variety of experiments supporting inorganic and organic chemistry, the development of hyperpolarisation methods and studies of proteins and carbohydrates. You will also provide training for users of the instruments where necessary and support the general research aims of the centre. You will require both excellent knowledge and practical experience of NMR spectroscopy of small molecules; knowledge and experience of experiments for studying proteins and other biomolecules would be an advantage. Salary will be within the range £29,249 - £30,122 per annum and the post is available immediately for a period of 3 years in the first instance. Closing date: 9 September 2012 For further information and to apply on-line, please visit our website: https://jobs.york.ac.uk The University of York is committed to promoting equality and diversity
