ASSISTANT PROFESSORS (2) TENURE-TRACK POSITIONS IN CHEMISTRY
The Department of Chemistry at Adelphi University seeks applicants for two tenure-track positions at the rank of Assistant Professor to begin in the fall semester 2009. Each position requires a Ph. D. in Chemistry with a specialization and scholarly activity in one of the following activities: (1) Organic Chemistry; (2) Biochemistry or Biophysics; postdoctoral experience is desirable, as is expertise in NMR. Teaching in the general chemistry curriculum and teaching in both lower and upper level courses appropriate to the candidate’s expertise will be expected. The successful applicant will be expected to develop excellence in teaching and in research activities involving undergraduates in (1) synthetic organic chemistry and (2) biochemistry or biophysics.
