We at Mestrelab are delighted to announce our first iPad / Android app ever, Mnova Tablet. You won’t find it in the google or iPad stores though as it is still in the final Beta testing stage, but from these lines I’d like to welcome anyone willing to test it out.
Just send me an email at carlos-at-mestrelab.com and I’ll be more than happy to give you the details on how to Beta test it for the platform of your choice

[NMR analysis blog] Mnova goes NUS
Mnova goes NUS
This is one example of a NUS spectrum (HMQC) acquired by Dr. Manuel Martín-Pastor at the University of Santiago de Compostela and processed with Mnova 9.0.

I’m very happy to announce that after a long period of very intensive work, version 9.0 of Mnova is finally ready! From our point of view, this version is probably the most ambitious release we have attempted since Mnova was created. Aside from many improvements and bug fixes, this new version comes with great new features, including support for Non Uniform Sampling (NUS), a powerful PCA module, Reference Deconvolution, Absolute Referencing and many, many more.

[NMR paper] The Fantastic Four: A plug 'n' play set of optimal control pulses for enhancing NMR spectroscopy.
From Mendeley Biomolecular NMR group:
The Fantastic Four: A plug 'n' play set of optimal control pulses for enhancing NMR spectroscopy.
Journal of magnetic resonance (San Diego, Calif. : 1997) (2013). Pages: 16-31. Manoj Nimbalkar, Burkhard Luy, Thomas E Skinner, Jorge L Neves, Naum I Gershenzon, Kyryl Kobzar, Wolfgang Bermel, Steffen J Glaser et al.
We present highly robust, optimal control-based shaped pulses designed to replace all 90° and 180° hard pulses in a given pulse sequence for improved performance. Special attention was devoted to ensuring that the pulses can be simply...

[Question from NMRWiki Q&A forum] ACD/NMR vs. MestReNova calculation difference
ACD/NMR vs. MestReNova calculation difference
Hi there,
how is possible that peak area calculated by ACD/NMR is lower than the same one calculated by MestReNova software. For example 3.70 vs. 3.97 creates 11% difference in conversion of polymerization.
Thank you, Frank
